Profile requirements:
o Should have knowledge about configuration management & build processes
o Should understand the nuances of supporting multiple versions of codebase on multiple platforms, including their tagging, branching, merging, retrofitting, broadcasting patches to customers
o Should have experience with code repositories of enterprise grade applications with their security, backup, & restore strategies & related activities
o Should posses knowledge of diverse programming languages & their build dependencies
o Should have cross platform knowledge like LINUX/HP-UX/SOLARIS
o Should be able to guide people on processes around CM & build
Eligibility criterion
o 36 to 60 months of IT experience in the configuration management areas.
o Experience in Rational Synergy /CM administration is a must
o Should have worked on build management areas on LINUX/HP-UX/SOLARIS environment.
o Unix Shell scripting and Perl scripting is a must.
o The incumbent would be an individual contributor.

Responsibilities
o Setting up and maintenance of CM database/repository.
o Setting up distributed development environment through CM synergy/DCM.
o Customizing life cycle of bug tracker.
o Maintenance of LDAP users using Rational Change.
o Monitoring servers, disk space & responsible to take daily backup of CM databases
o Support developers in the use of Synergy/CM and Change Synergy.
o Revising SCMP to adopt best CM practices & taking part in defining new SCM process
o Creating repositories for new projects, creating release tags/baselines.
o Integrating Synergy/CM tasks on a daily routine into principal branch, resolving conflicts with strong debugging skills
o Making Binary release and uploading build executable to depot locations
o Automate integration and Nightly builds using Continuous integration tools
o Conducting PCA audits
o Monitoring and reporting on the metrics of build management and reviewing the effectiveness of the process
o Regular troubleshooting and crisis management is part of the everyday activities.
