Title : Datacom Developer
Location : Chennai/ Gurgaon
Experience : 2 to 12 Years
Client : CMMI Level 5

Roles & Responsibility:
Contribution to design (low level &high level) design, coding & integration, Defect fixing. Able to understand the design, code from system perspective and resolve the issues quickly within customer defined SLAs. Capturing problem descriptions and drive "recreating-problem" phase for SW Problems in a module, and fixing / testing of high priority/severity SW Problems during various test phases. Accountable for own work and work that is reviewed - ability to produce high quality and well tested code. Follow and help to adhere to various quality management processes defined for the project. Guiding/mentoring junior members to complete their assigned responsibilities

Skills Required :
Experience in any of Layer2 protocols( PPP, L2TP, ATM etc) & Layer3(MPLS , OSPF, RIP, IS-IS etc) protocols and in porting/development of DSLAM/Switches/Routers

Essential:

Strong Development skills, excellent problem solving and debugging skills
L2/L3 Concepts and working experience on some of the following

Layer 2 - VLAN, RSTP, MSTP, PVRST, Metro Ethernet, Provider Bridging, 802.1ag - Ethernet Connectivity Fault Management (ECFM), LCP, NCP, DNS, DHCP  
Layer 3 - ISIS, RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IPv6, RIP6, Switching Chipset / NP - Marvell, Xelerated, Vitesse, Infineon
